Hey There, Hi There, Ho There!

You're as welcome as can be.

Kind of- more on that just below.

But first, let me introduce myself. My name's Ashley, and I love many things in life. Two of my favorites are Disney World and Lilly Pulitzer. Which is exactly what inspired me to create this space. Here you'll find outfit posts (most of which will contain at least some L.P.), park locales, and maybe a bit of history or tidbits sprinkled in from time to time. I wanted to show that park wear doesn't always have to be frumpy to still be practical, comfortable, and efficient for park touring. Plus, a simple Google search of Disney World and Lilly Pulitzer didn't turn up any results, so gotta strike while the iron is hot, no?!

NOT Lilly Pulitzer. But it is MNSSHP, the Magic Kingdom, a Pumpkin Spice Latte on Main Street, U.S.A, and a Tower of Terror bellhop tee all in one fantastic photo!

I've been toying with the idea of making this blog for a few months now. I spend most of my free time in the Disney Parks (hello, Annual Pass!) and am often asked where I get the clothes I wear while there.

They say to do what you love, so here's me, taking two things I love, and making a little something of it.

Now, about you being welcome here.

I'm glad you're here, really I am. Heck, I'm thrilled you've even made it this far! That said, I know this whole concept can be seen as fairly vapid, vain, and frivolous. The fact that I even mention it shows that I'm fully aware. But, it's for fun. F-U-N!  I also realize that by putting this out there on the internets, I'm susceptible to trolls and people who feel invisible (and invincible!) behind their computer screens. So before you waste both my time AND yours by leaving a mean comment on any of my posts, do us all a favor and click that little red X up in the corner. Peace!

Ok- for those of you still around, hey!!

You'll probably notice a few things as this unfolds.

One, I don't have a professional photographer. In fact, my boyfriend John and I are just starting to learn all there is to know about our new fancy camera (he got us a Canon Rebel T3 for Christmas) so he's in charge of all the picture taking. Granted, I do a bit of  lots of bossing around when it comes to composition or location, but he's the one fiddling with all settings and making the magic happen.

Second, I am SO uncomfortable being on the other side of the camera. I have no idea how to pose, or what I should do, and feel really awkward about it all, so it should be fun to see John's skills improve and me get more at ease being photographed. So bear with us.

I still have three more months of teaching left in this school year, so updates will probably be few and far between until the summer when I have more free time. In the meantime, might as well stay with the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party theme (MNSSHP to those of you not familiar with the many different Disney acronyms) and post some pictures from then.

******WARNING!! SHITTY IPHONE PHOTOS AHEAD!!******

If you did the math, you'd put two and two together and realize that these were all taken in October, and we got our fancy camera for Christmas, so that explains the grainy, sometimes blurry quality in this post. Look at the bright side- things can only improve from here on out, eh?!

Hey look, it's John the photographer boyfriend in Oswald ears and a Ghostbusters tee!

'Candy Corn Ice Cream.' Which basically means vanilla soft serve with a few candy corns sitting in the cone part. Come on, Disney!

This looked so much better on my tiny iPhone screen...

My mountain.

My mansion.

Disney cups. I mean, come on!

Whelp, that's it for now. Keep checking back for more updates, and in the meantime, you can follow me on Instagram @Disneyfied_Ash.

As they say in the World, "Have a Magical Day!"
